Welcome to the Cool Universe
The world abounds with wonders... a flash of scarlet feathers outside the window... Venus in the light of day... dinosaur footprints in the stone by the riverside... even the technology that makes this communication possible fascinates me. You, too, sense the adventure of life on Earth.
I thrill to new discoveries in astronomy, space exploration, botany, zoology, health, sociology. I enjoy record the flora and fauna I see on daily walks. I revel in researching obscure history, or genealogy projects. ...I also provide excellent business and resume writing services.
While this rich stew nourishes my writing, it makes creating a cohesive website a challenge. I won't pretend I've pulled it off, but I hope you'll enjoy looking around all the same.

About me
A local newspaper published my first story when I was nine. In junior high, I took 1st place in an essay contest sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution, an honor that paid $5. This was my first hint that writing wouldn't guarantee I'd eat regularly or sleep at an address fancier than a cardboard box.
Away from the keyboard, I've held cool jobs in the antique trade, with a historic restoration firm and in a newspaper library. I found my favorite (so far) and longest lasting gig in the museum world, as a science and planetarium educator.
My byline has appeared in Ancestry Magazine, American Art Review, America History, Learning Through History and regional magazines and newspapers. I contributed to Scribner's 3rd Edition of the Dictionary of American History and two books on resume preparation. I've written for cool websites that include Discovery.com
